FIRST KaLIGHToscope Art Camp!

It was the perfect day on Saturday, May 30, 2026, to have our first KaLIGHToscope Art Camp at Broken Hand Meadows. We had a wonderful group of people and, as you can see, the paint literally flowed into some incredible works of art – a creativity explosion!

The activities included printing the artist’s design on a t-shirt or sweatshirt, hotdogs on the grill, a campfire, lawn games and conversations about individual dreams, and Humanity Shines!

Our next camp is June 6 at 11 AM, for kids and adults. Sign up is required at: https://lnkd.in/gH_bTNME

Join the fun, meet great people, create your own design, and come away with your art on a shirt! It is a fantastic experience!

Words Always Inspire!

Embrace the World with Love Words and the World will be Changed…

Once I understood these words, they began to bless my heart. I became aware of an intense purpose, that everything I write, every book, every screenplay, every poem should emanate these words.

First, and foremost, I began to know that Sacajawea’s story was really a story about love. That the Lewis and Clark Expedition was the backdrop for this very spiritual being who found herself on a journey with purpose. She carried her baby on her back and cared for him, she found wild vegetables when there was no meat because she cared for the men, she wore red vermillion on her face to tell other tribes they come in peace, to keep everyone alive. That is true love.

And as the screenplay goes, she had a great purpose given to her by her uncle, to reach the Great Water with her prayers. Not just prayers for her child and her people, but prayers for all people of the earth.

The experience of writing that story opened a place my heart for the Moon Drake Series. Every episode helps us see we must love one another, we must share our Indigenous wisdom together, and we must protect and care for the earth.

The Sacajawea experience also showed me how racism and anger will destroy the peace. And through that, the Kimama’s Wings screenplay came to life. An adopted 8-year-old African American girl is hurt by the words of her racist grandfather. But she decides to love him anyway and inspires his healing through the transformation of the butterfly.

And the book, Crabtree: Lost Kids of Borealonon, and subsequent movie, is a lesson in strength-of-character, faith, determination and the understanding that we should never allow someone else to write the chapters of our lives. And that we should always be true to ourselves.

It is our greatest joy to bring these stories and many more to the world through Humanity Shines Organization, a 501c3 nonprofit company and the KaLIGHToscope Art Camp. We intend to ignite those love words, with “love action” to help lift people worldwide, through storytelling.

The Spirit of Creator is Within Us

There’s a place in a meadow in Western Washington where creativity and imagination are alive. It is a beautiful peaceful property of five acres that we purchased in gratitude. We felt the spiritual energy and knew it had a powerful purpose. At the moment, it is only a vision – but a clear vision, a faith-driven idea based on belief… And the energy, the vibration, the dynamic mission is ignited and breathing.

What started over 26 years ago, as an enormous and seemingly impossible film project about Sacajawea, has evolved into something beyond our wildest dreams. Since this story is Native American, it is our deepest intent to support the Indigenous people of America, so we asked ourselves. “Could we produce this epic film partially through a non-profit? Could we provide an internship program to teach young filmmakers?”

And then the mystery began to unfold, actually it exploded, and our hearts were filled with the joy of a new purpose that aligned so perfectly with what spirit had given us and was showing us every day. We began to think outside the box…

Soon Humanity Shines Organization was formed, and other film projects became a part of the vision, even an anime series for children, and then we could see beyond to something even greater – a dynamic and very exciting program called KaLIGHToscope Art Camp where children and adults could learn to tell their stories through screenwriting, poetry, acting, painting, musical lyrics, and many more ways. https://kalightoscope.art/storytelling/

Though we don’t have all the answers for the “how,” we have the blueprint, the spiritual sight to see it and the faith and belief to know it is coming. We invite you to take a look at the Humanity Shines website, and all the programs and exciting things that are just ready to burst open. We invite you to be a part of this grand and glorious endeavor. If you are led to donate to the cause, your donations are greatly appreciated through the QR code or the red button at the top of this blog page.

We are the Light we seek… for we have the Spirit of Creator within us.

First Annual Humanity Shines Charity Bazaar!

On August 10 & 11, 2024 we held our first annual Charity Bazaar in our local community!! It turned out to be beautiful weather and a very fun weekend with lots of music, games, vendors, activities and food!!

The incredible Jukebox Duo, Kristy and Dave Lindemuth, played 50s/60s music nearly all day long on Saturday. We loved hearing the familiar tunes! I think everyone kept time to the beat, especially Fawn Destiny Grepo who blessed us with her impromptu and amazing hoop dance!

Much of our focus for the event was on our master plan, to build an administration facility on the property as we gear up to launch some amazing projects. On Saturday, we actually held our first class for the KaLIGHToscope Art Camp. Our Board Secretary and rock shop owner, Shawna Fitzpatrick-Harris taught jewelry-making to some very creative students. It was just the beginning of the courses we will offer for this program for children and adults (see more information HERE). Among other activities, we had face-painting by tattoo artist Faith Halseth, for brave individuals!

We have been operating Humanity Shines Organization for almost one year and it has truly blossomed into a powerful energy with so much potential ahead! We had some much-appreciated donations from our event. If you are reading this and want to be a part of our endeavor, please take a look at our PROJECTS and consider giving a donation by clicking the top red button on this page. Thank you so very much.
