A Heart’s Awakening

AWAKENING IS PART OF HUMANITY SHINES’ LEAVES ON THE WIND LITERARY PROGRAM.

“Fitzpatrick’s deep reverence for the natural world shines through her poetic tapestry, as she beautifully weaves the elements of nature into her verses. From the gentle whisper of the wind to the radiant glow of the sun, she invites us to witness beauty in every aspect of creation.

~ Awakening review by “Books that Make You…”

Creator, God, Energy, Vibration, the Magnificent Imagination of the Universe, In, Around and Through all things, all Powerful, all Knowing… all of this is working in mysterious ways. This Infinite Force cannot be fully defined through labels, for it cannot be kept in a box. It cannot be limited or discerned in the mind, nor can it be judged by human standards. In Truth it can only be shared through love, compassion, and faith with Spiritual joy over-flowing and pouring out. These mysterious ways are unlimited and unstoppable. We must open our eyes and ears, our hearts and souls, we must get out-of-the-way and be ready to receive, even those things we do not understand.

Fear not.

In 2013-15 I was in California trying to get my Sacajawea, The Windcatcher screenplay produced into a film. It was a daunting task and one that is still ongoing. And during those two years I felt so alone. Yet there were things I had to realize and lessons I had to learn – for my heart was being cleansed. It was painful. I didn’t understand everything. I felt that what I believed all my life was being turned up-side-down, and sometimes I felt I was being turned inside-out. Yet in the end, I would come to know that nothing was being thrown away, it was actually being ignited to a deeper place.

The words of this book “Awakening” were part of that journey. Nearly every night I was awakened at 3 AM with words on my heart that were bursting out. I wrote those words on the back of the pages of my Sacajawea script. Eventually they formed the pages of this book, coupled with photos taken along the path.

I believe this book was written by a Spiritual Wind that had moved me to go to California, giving me an adventurous spirit to search out Truth. I discovered that I wasn’t there to make a movie, not yet, for there was a far greater purpose. One of the poems defined the essence of what I found to be true for me. It’s called “True Purpose” through which I realized we make everything so complicated in this world, we get confused and sidetracked, and we try to figure it all out based on things that are unreliable. We forget that the mysterious ways of the Universe are at work for us, and that we can trust our own heart to awaken.

The book is on Amazon or autographed copies can be purchased at http://www.spiritwind.shop in the “Nonprofits and Causes” collection! 100% net sales go to the Humanity Shines Organization and their Leaves on the Wind literary program.
