The Light of Love is so Brilliant, Darkness won’t Survive!

What could be more moving, more worthy, more fulfilling than getting to love someone? I cannot imagine a greater purpose in life…

We invite you, friends, family, sisters and brothers, to join us by shining your love on humanity through programs, education, scholarships, movies, and books. We want to touch the world with the powerful message of loving one another and loving the earth.

In this challenging time there are so many people in need of even basic essentials, and we are committed to meeting the needs of people in our community and also in other places around the world. In 2025, we have had a difficult time acquiring donations to reach our annual funding plan. Though we have tried to do what we could, it is our hope that 2026 will open the doors wider and we will be able to feed and clothe more people and also provide for the creative opportunities that lift the human spirit.

We have developed some additional programs this year and organized future events, looking to next year in faith. We are so very grateful for any contributions you can make. It’s for Us to See

From a young child growing up, the teachings of scripture touched me deeply. Many created visual pictures in my heart. Two of these pictures were especially important to the creation of Humanity Shines. For if we believe the teachings and claim their true understanding, then the entire world would be filled with love for each other – no judgment, no hypocrisy, and no fear.

The teachings are, “Creator is Spirit in us,” and “His eye is on the sparrow…” So, then, shouldn’t our eyes be on the “sparrow,” too? For if we believe in these teachings then we are called to help creation. Period. Yes, to help the one with the broken wing, or broken heart. The one who needs food. The one who is hurting, struggling, confused. To help heal the earth and all within it and without. And there is no judgment mentioned – not race, ethnicity, gender, religion, sexual orientation, handicap – no label constraints to hold us back.

If we all believed in the understanding that the Infinite Spiritual Energy of the Universe is IN US, and therefore our eyes CAN “see” with the greatest love there is – if we embrace it… then wouldn’t we just light up the earth?

We are the Light of the World.

This year’s Humanity Shines Organization’s first holiday fundraiser will contribute to our mission and our cause. Our Board of Directors and Founders agreed that we will help these abused and orphaned children at LIGHT URIRI CHILDREN’S HOME & SCHOOL, who have experienced loss through torrential flooding.

“The Not-for-Profit Community Based Organization, Light Uriri, supports orphans, abandoned kids, those living on the street, and sexually abused girls in Kenya. We provide these children the much-needed care, food, clothing, medical care, and education they need. We have a child population of 550 needy children with 90 being permanent residents at Light Home of Hope. Due to the recent flooding in our area, we are in great need of food, blankets, mattresses and mosquito nets for child flood victims.
