Greatest Needs in 2025
Since we began Humanity Shines Organization, at the end of 2023, we have had the opportunity to help children in Africa through Child Fund and Light Uriri Children’s Home and School, and in the United States at our KaLIGHToscope Art Camp, through several local seasonal programs, and at the regional food bank.
This year we are organizing for greater local impact to address higher levels of homelessness, elder abuse, and the food and clothing needs of children. With the federal cutbanks in major areas of care, including for nonprofits, we know the impact could be devastating for vulnerable groups. As we move into this year, we want to hone relationships with other nonprofits, help sponsor a fundraising event and contribute by doing our part for humanity.

THE HOMELESS

In this time of uncertainty and confusion, it is vital that we extend compassion and unconditional love to help those who can’t feed or cloth themselves, those who have no safe place to lay their head at night, and those who have lost all hope.
THE ELDERLY

Many elderly people today find themselves helpless and lonely. They may be disabled, or sick, or depressed with no loved ones to care for them. There is always the fear that at some point they won’t have the healthcare or resources to live comfortably each day, or even a roof over their head at night.
THE CHILDREN

Children should never have to go to school without supplies, books, and food in their stomachs. Nothing should come between them and the education they deserve. Children of all backgrounds need to be fed, clothed, taught, and encouraged to grow and mature into compassionate, intelligent, honest, and resourceful members of society both in America and around the world.
