Jane & Matthew Fitzpatrick
Over forty years ago two baby-boomers, Jane and Matthew (and Jane’s children Shawna and Tyler), got married in a cow pasture at sunrise. From that point on their lives were filled with adventure, through Nature and through Spirit. In 1982 they welcomed a daughter Jerah, and a few years later Matthew adopted Jane’s two children. Life became a journey of discovery, and in 2023 with their daughter and son-in-law, they were finally able to purchase their dream home in the country, lined with trees all around and grassy fields. With their passion for history, this property was named Broken Hand Meadows, after the mountain man Broken Hand Fitzpatrick. Since 2009, a dream had stirred in their hearts. And now they knew this land was to be the place where that dream would be realized, the nonprofit company Humanity Shines Organization.
Shawna & Marc Harris
Shawna Fitzpatrick-Harris is a spirit-minded and strong entrepreneur with her own historical costume, dress design and alterations company. A few years ago, she met Marc, the love of her life. Together they made a happy home for Shawna’s son Luke on a beautiful property in the country with her parents – a welcoming place for friends, business associates and family, including her three adult children and two grandchildren. Shawna and Marc are history buffs and rockhounds, which is reflected in their unique storefront Rock & Roll Prospecting, located on their property. As a couple, they live their lives together in peace, love and harmony which is also reflected in their passion for Humanity Shines Organization. They believe all we need in life is to help others and live in the moment of every day!
