International AND LOCAL Projects:
For nearly thirty years the Founders of this organization have had a passion for helping needy children in Africa through Child Fund. Last year for Christmas, as the very first project, Humanity Shines sent a gift for the following urgently needed items to be distributed to needy families both Internationally and locally:
1)✔ CHILD FUND – DONATED AT CHRISTMAS Funded a gift of clean water (purify water, help build wells, teach safe water and hygiene, provide families with clean water), mosquito nets, a breeding pair of goats, 6 chickens and other items for children’s needs.
2)✔ LIGHT URIRI CHILDREN’S HOME & SCHOOL – CREATED A GO-FUND-ME FUNDRAISER for LIGHT URIRI, a home and school for orphaned and abused Kenyan children to help them build back and get through the flood season in their area. The flooding has already greatly damaged their facility. The greatest needs are mattresses, mosquito nets, food and other items.
3)✔ SUPPORTED AN ABUSED CHILD – ANNUAL SUPPORT for needy child at Light Uriri Kenya, Africa.
4)✔ HELPING HANDS GIVING TREE – CHRISTMAS GIVING TO LOCAL CHILD by purchasing gifts for an 18-month-old child.
5)✔ SEASONAL LOCAL FOOD BANK – PROVIDED FUNDS AND DONATED FOOD for ongoing support in Winlock and Vadar, Washington State.
6)✔ SEASONAL FUNDRAISERS – HELD FUNDRAISER AT EVENTS through Rock & Roll Prospecting and the Country Chicks craft shows for Humanity Shines’ programs.
7)✔ ONLINE STORE www.spiritwind.shop – ONGOING to receive and generate contributions where 100% of the Net from all items sold go to help Humanity Shines’ mission and other associated nonprofits.
