2025 UPDATE: With the many conflicts at home and abroad, this was a difficult and challenging year for many of us, Humanity Shines included. We had hoped and planned to achieve many more activities and accomplishments, but it became apparent that funding was not readily available, and in short supply all year long. So, outside of our small donations and the following programs, we had to adjust our focus.
1) ✔KALIGHTOSCOPE ART CAMP – WE REFINED THE PROGRAM AND CREATED A PLAN OF ACTION FOR 2026. This Arts program offers creational experiences in screenplay writing and film production, stage play writing and performing, poetry, artwork in all forms, and writing musical lyrics. Initially, our classes will be held as a day camp for kids, but eventually we want to offer week-long camps for children and adults.
2) ✔MASTER PLAN BUILDING FUND – THIS BUILDING CAMPAIGN WAS PUT ON HOLD UNTIL FUNDING IS SECURED AS WE CONTINUE OUR FUNDING EFFORTS IN 2026. “The Light House” is our administration building. Each of our programs is designed to embrace our organization’s values through passion, vision, and priorities. We will generate jobs for Indigenous people, filmmakers, writers, seamstresses, artists, woodworkers, teachers, and other visionaries who want to learn, grow and ignite change in the world. To do these things we realize we need a functional facility that invokes an atmosphere of creativity, imagination, and love for each other. We started Humanity Shines for this mission, and we plan construction of a working nonprofit facility at Broken Hand Meadows.
3) ✔LEAVES ON THE WIND – DESPITE OUR MINIMAL RESOURCES, WE WERE ABLE TO CONTINUE SHARING BOOKS USING OUR INTERNAL FUNDS. This is an ongoing literary distribution program. Next year we will be reaching out to authors in an effort to build our book selections. We have four literary packages: Children, Adults, Women, and a mixture to be distributed to libraries, schools, nursing homes, jails, and more.
4) ✔ASSOCIATED TV & MOVIES –THIS YEAR WE CONTINUED OUR OUTREACH ON SOCIAL MEDIA, THE WEBSITE, AND OUR PRODUCTS IN THE ONLINE STORE, AS OUR GOAL BECAME TO KEEP THESE PROJECTS ALIVE BY SENDING AN ONGOING MESSAGE OF LOVE AND HOPE TO THE WORLD. We continue our collaboration with our for-profit/non-profit partners to produce our 12-episode children’s anime series called Moon Drake based on indigenous stories and characters from every continent, and the full-length epic feature film of the award-winning screenplay Sacajawea, The Windcatcher based on the life of Sacajawea and her journey with the Lewis & Clark Expedition. The programs associated with this film and TV series will be handled through Humanity Shines Organization and other non-profits. These programs include The Shoshone Cultural Project and the Warrior Woman Spirit campaign for Sacajawea and the Earth Hero Ambassadors for Moon Drake.
5) ✔SEASONAL FUNDRAISERS – WE HAVE CONTINUED PROMOTING OUR PAYPAL DONATION SITE, HOWEVER WITH A LACK OF FUNDS FROM DONATED SOURCES, LOCAL AND NATIONAL ECONOMY, IT HAS BEEN A CHALLENGE. Donators can easily support us by using the red buttons at the top of our website pages that has an ongoing monthly donation option, as well as through Rock & Roll Prospecting and the Country Chicks craft shows for Humanity Shines’ programs.
6) ✔WHISKERS HOPE RESCUE – WE WERE ABLE TO MAKE A SMALL DONATION THROUGH OUR IN-HOUSE FUNDING CHANNELS. We will continue ongoing donations to this local cat rescue non-profit organization in Winlock, Washington.
7) ✔SEASONAL LOCAL FOOD BANK – WE WERE ABLE TO MAKE A SMALL DONATION THIS YEAR. It is our intent to regularly donate to our local food bank in Winlock and Vadar, Washington State.
8) ✔SUPPORT CHILD FUND – WE WERE ABLE TO CONTINUE OUR MONTHLY CHILDFUND DONATIONS THIS YEAR. This is for our young girl in Kenya, Africa. (ONGOING)
9) ✔ONLINE STORE www.spiritwind.shop – SUPPORT FROM SALES WAS WAY DOWN THIS YEAR BUT WE MAINTAINED OUR STORE AND RECENTLY UPDATED THE SITE FOR BETTER SEO AND EASIER CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE. WE ALSO UPDATED OUR PRODUCTS, AS WE ANTICIPATE GREATER SALES IN 2026. Every sale provides ongoing contributions where 100% of the Net from all items sold go to help Humanity Shines’ mission and other associated nonprofits.
