From a young child growing up, the teachings of scripture touched me deeply. Many created visual pictures in my heart. Two of these pictures were especially important to the creation of Humanity Shines. For if we believe the teachings and claim their true understanding, then the entire world would be filled with love for each other – no judgment, no hypocrisy, and no fear.
The teachings are, “Creator is Spirit in us,” and “His eye is on the sparrow…” So, then, shouldn’t our eyes be on the “sparrow,” too? For if we believe in these teachings then we are called to help creation. Period. Yes, to help the one with the broken wing, or broken heart. The one who needs food. The one who is hurting, struggling, confused. To help heal the earth and all within it and without. And there is no judgment mentioned – not race, ethnicity, gender, religion, sexual orientation, handicap – no label constraints to hold us back.
If we all believed in the understanding that the Infinite Spiritual Energy of the Universe is IN US, and therefore our eyes CAN “see” with the greatest love there is – if we embrace it… then wouldn’t we just light up the earth?
